Podcast episode 45: Braille in 5G, Overcast in Color, Plus Apple TV+

Due to some schedule conflicts, this week’s episode of the In the News podcast was recorded and released over the weekend instead of Friday.  Nevertheless, this was a good one that addresses lots of interesting topics.  We start by discussing Apple’s recent security updates to address a zero-day exploit.  Next, we talk about the new version of the Overcast app, which has a great new interface.  We also discuss AirTags and other tracking devices, the introduction of the first iPad 12 years ago, using 5G for your home internet, and a new braille scanner.

In our In the Know segment, Brett explains how Apple’s Podcasts app does a good job of recommending additional podcasts that you might want to check out.  And I share a tip for quickly sharing photos between an iPhone and an iPad: pinch the photo on one device, then reverse-pinch your fingers where you want to drop the picture on the other device — a simple set of gestures that seems like magic when you do it.
