Podcast episode 44: Harder [Falls], Better [Wi-Fi], Faster [5G], Stronger [Passwords]

This week’s episode of the In the News podcast starts out with a discussion of network speed:  the pros and cons of 5G, and the ins and outs of the latest versions of Wi-Fi.  Should you pay for these faster speeds, and what do you gain and give up when you do so?  We next discuss the fantastic new Universal Control feature for the iPad and Mac, smart blinds for your smart home, storing a driver’s license on your iPhone, and more.

In our In the Know segment, Brett shares a tip for using your Apple Watch to unlock 1Password on your Mac.  (I mentioned during the episode that I would try to enable this feature on my iMac, but I discovered last night that the feature only works with a Mac that supports Touch ID—so it works for newer laptops, but not on an iMac with an Intel processor.)  My tip is for folks who use Twitter; if that is you, I encourage you to try out Tweetbot.
