Apple’s chief design officer, Jony Ive, announced that after 30 years with the company, he is leaving Apple to run his own independent design company. This will be a major transition for Apple and is likely to result in some changes to the design of Apple products, although surely there are still many years of products in the pipeline that Ive worked on.
