When I started publishing iPhone J.D. in 2008, one of my first posts was a list of my favorite iPhone shortcuts. I love learning about tips and tricks that you can use to make your iPhone or iPad more productive, and I still share them here as often as I can. If you also enjoy learning how to do more with your iOS device, I encourage you to listen to the latest episode of the Mac Power Users podcast, hosted by California attorney David Sparks and Florida attorney Katie Floyd. In Episode 361, David and Katie are joined by Clayton Morris, who many of you may know as the technology reporter for Fox or from the weekend Fox & Friends TV show. The three of them talk about some of their favorite hidden iPhone and iPad tips and tricks. It is a great listen during your commute to or from work this week, and they mentioned quite a few tips that I plan to try out myself.
Here’s one that they didn’t mention, but which I love. If you are trying to read the small print on something and wish you had a magnifying glass, all you need to do in iOS 10 is triple press your home button. Turn on this feature in the Settings app by going to General -> Accessibility -> Magnifier. Once you triple press to activate this mode, you can adjust the magnification level and can even change the colors to make something more legible.
