Jeff – one footnote – many of us believe it is a nod (or something else) to Microsoft for the Microsoft Duo. Interestingly, development on the iPhone Duo came about during the time Apple was trying to hire Panos Panay away from Microsoft – the father of the Microsoft Duo. Regardless, I’ve been waiting for a folding iPhone since a failed trial of the Samsung Galaxy Fold Z 5 so this will be a day one by. Most importantly, for me in my legal practice, will be Apple Pencil support.
Dale, I disagree that the name had anything to do with the Microsoft Duo. If anything, it is a reference to the Macintosh Duo, as I think Brett and I discussed in this podcast. But it is also a bit of a nod to the new Mac Neo—a similar souding, three-letter name.
